Let’s dive in.
When I first started coaching, I felt like I was way over my head. I thought I needed a fancy website, an email funnel, a lot of followers, multiple offers, one-on-one coaching, masterminds, courses, eBooks, the perfect launch strategy, and a perfectly curated sales page.
Maybe I’m exaggerating that a little bit, but I know that you get it. And this was just for the marketing side of things. Then add on creating a curriculum and trying to learn all of the technology. So naturally, I ended up getting myself in a cycle of burnout.
I would work really hard to do all the things, then I would go through a season where I did nothing, I would continue to procrastinate all the things because it wasn’t working. I was just exhausted.
But to be a six-figure entrepreneur, you don’t need these things, and here’s why.
Your business doesn’t have to be complicated or require a jillion calls every single week. I am a six-figure business owner. I have secured $20,000 weeks and $10,000 cash days. And still to this day, at the moment of me recording this, my website isn’t fully functioning yet.
I don’t have a fancy email funnel, and I have way fewer views on my Instagram stories than you probably expect, but I am still a six-figure business owner.
If the Lord has put a business on your heart, I want you to know it is possible for you to do it without all the overwhelm.
Stop Doing This One Thing
The number one thing that is holding you back from scaling to six figures in your business is a lack of focus.
The problem is that you’re trying to get to that result by going in all of these different directions instead of just focusing on one direction. You’ve probably been downloading all the freebies, doing all the free challenges, and listening to all the podcasts and every single person that you’re listening to has a different strategy.
When you start focusing on all of these different things, you can quickly feel overwhelmed. If you do not pick one direction and learn to master that direction, you are going to stay in a state of burnout.
I say that with all of the love in the world because I want to see you and your business take off. I want to see you and your business impact the kingdom of God.
If you are going in multiple different directions, it’s similar to trying to fuel multiple cars to get you to one specific destination. You’ve only got a little bit of fuel and you’re trying to put the fuel you have in multiple different vehicles all going in different directions.
Instead, it’s important to fuel ONE thing at a time.
Focus on ONE Offer solving ONE Core Problem
First and foremost, I highly recommend focusing on mastering and optimizing one offer in which you solve one core problem.
For example, My one signature offer is Faith-Fueled Coach Academy. The one core problem I solve is that I help my clients start, grow, and scale a Holy Spirit-led coaching business. By helping my clients solve that one core problem, I also help them solve multiple pains that are symptoms of that one core problem.
My focus is that I help them create a full-time income from their coaching business, but a pain I also help them solve is to find ways to eliminate overwhelm and the feeling they should be doing all things. Another pain they might be experiencing is that they’re obsessed with business success.
Through Faith-Fueled Coaching Academy, I help my clients step into being completely fulfilled by Christ while also building their business. My client might be thinking that she’s ready to start a coaching business, but isn’t sure where to start.
I help solve this problem by giving her (my client) a step-by-step process of how to build, launch and scale a coaching business from scratch, with a sustainable and scalable business model.
She may be making inconsistent or no money from her business, and my goal then is to help her quit her job and pursue online coaching full-time.
I give her exactly what she needs to be doing to grow her business. My signature program, Faith-Fueled Coach Academy, helps my ideal clients solve one core problem. The one core problem of not being able to create a consistent and sustainable full-time income from their business.
Because I solve that one core problem, all of these other pains that she is experiencing are solved as well. As an entrepreneur, I cannot stress the importance of taking the time to optimize and master that one core offer.
Once you determine your one offer and one core problem, you will want to utilize one lead generator, one activator, and one converter. I’m going to break down for you what these are and give you examples of what they have been for my business.
Focus on ONE Lead Generator
Let’s start with the one lead generator. Now a lead generator is a tool that generates leads for you. Essentially this means what platform, tool or resource are you going to be utilizing to generate leads?
For my first few years of coaching, Instagram was my main lead generator. That was it. I wasn’t on multiple different platforms. I didn’t have a podcast. I kept it simple. I created content and had productive conversations with my ideal clients, and I became a six-figure business owner.
Today, my podcast also serves as a lead generator in my business, so now, I have my Instagram and my podcast.
Choose one platform to be a lead generator for you. If you want to add on later, you totally can, but choose to master one platform first.
For my clients, I recommend starting with Instagram, Facebook or Tiktok. When you are just getting started with your business, you need to understand what your audience needs and wants.
On social media platforms, you can validate your message and your marketing, meaning you’re going to determine what kind of messaging and marketing works for your ideal clients.
However, if you’re spending all of your time learning the tech and everything that goes into just getting started, you are not taking the time to fully understand your ideal client.
As a coach, I know it takes some time to truly identify your niche. As your business grows and changes, so will your niche.
You want to take the time on your social media platform of choice to understand what messaging works and connects with your idle clients. Because if it’s not working on a social media platform, it’s probably not going to work on an evergreen platform like a blog, podcast, or YouTube channel.
However, if the Holy Spirit is leading you to start a blog, a podcast or a YouTube channel, just scratch everything that I’m saying because He knows way more than I do.
Choose ONE Activator
Next, you want to choose one activator for your business. An activator is a tool or a resource, or even a platform that is going to essentially activate your cold leads into warm ones. An activator is going to nurture your ideal clients so that they become warm leads. For the first couple of years of my coaching business, my one activator was free training inside of my Facebook group.
I have used the same training again and again because it works to warm up my leads. The training is called “Attract Your Queendom”. This training has been my activator to turn my cold leads into warm leads for years.
Now, my podcast also generates warm leads as well. It acts as a lead generator and as an activator because I’m consistently nurturing my audience.
In addition to that, I also have a free 3 day devotional experience for faith-fueled female entrepreneurs called Rooted. This devotional experience helped me integrate faith into my business even more and it was an AMAZING experience for my audience, and for myself.
Find your ONE Converter
Once you identified your one lead generation and your activator, you need to identify your one converter.
For my one-on-one coaching, my converter is an application call. For Faith-Fueled Coach Academy, which is my group coaching program, the converter is a sales page, DM conversations, and the Reclaimed to Reign podcast.
That being said, you first have to determine your one offer with the one core problem that you solve in that offer. Then you must determine your one lead generator. Your lead generator will then direct clients to your one activator, which will eventually lead to your one converter.
Once you determine each of those, it is time to optimize and master them.
