Your 3 Step Process to Successfully Start Selling Digital Products & Services Online in Your Faith-Based Business (With Little to No Experience)

Marketing

February 19, 2024

Are you on the hunt for your “thing,” want to clarify your calling, or live out your purpose? Are you ready to finally start selling digital products and services online? Or maybe you’re curious if the world of digital entrepreneurship will help you live out your ministry?

Well, you’re in for a treat because in this episode, we’re diving deep into a three-step process that’s going to help you kickstart your journey to selling digital products and services online, even if you’re starting from scratch.

Imagine having the ability to share your faith, passion, and expertise with the world while building a thriving online business that aligns with your values. and the thing is – It’s not just a dream; it’s a possibility, and it’s part of my mission to help make it your reality.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • Your 3 step process to successfully start selling digital products & services online in your faith-based business (with little to no experience)
  • The top 4 things you’re going to want to gain clarity on in order to successfully sell your products online
  • How to get paid right off the bat even if you’re starting from scratch
  • The most important step you need to take that saves you time, money and a whole lot of heartache when it comes to selling online

 Let’s do this.

Step #1: Clarify

What are you clarifying?

You need to get clarity on your role in the kingdom of God, your purpose and your calling for this season in your life.

Now, I believe your purpose and calling are different. Your purpose is to know God and to make Him known. While your calling is actually how you live out your purpose. Your calling is essentially the vehicle in which you fulfill your purpose.

That being said, you can think of your business as the calling to fulfill your purpose.

My question to you is: How is the Lord wanting to use you and your business to live out your purpose? If you have time to journal this out, I highly recommend doing so. Spend time with the Lord and pray over this.

I’ve found that if you aren’t connected to these things, it’s going to be very hard for you to keep going. And in addition to that, you will find yourself straying from your purpose.

Journal Prompt: How is the Lord wanting me to use my business to live out my purpose?

I think it’s really important to remember that the mission is not about you but rather about building the Kingdom of God. Your business is simply the vehicle to make that happen and fulfill your higher purpose.

Once you gain clarity on your business, it’s important to get clear on who it is you’re serving and how you support them. You can think of these things as your niche and your ideal client avatar.

Who is it in the Kingdom of God that you are serving?

And what specific problem are you solving?

What one thing are you helping them overcome and how can you take their pains and problems and lead them back to Jesus?

If you need help with this, you are going to want to check out my newest digital product, the Faith-Fueled Business Blueprint (discounted until October 9th). This is your very own 30 day step-by-step guide to help you create, launch, and sell your digital products and services online while doing so in a way that glorifies the Lord. This is the exact framework I used to start my own business and scale it to 6-figures, as well as the exact process that has led my own students to bust through their own doubts and go fulltime in their online businesses.

Once you identify your idle client and the one core problem that you solve for them, you can then develop your offer.

If you are a brand new entrepreneur, I recommend starting your business with a beta offer and/or solidifying some beta testers for your offer first. There are so many reasons for this, but the first reason is that you get to validate your offer before you ever launch it to the public.

Essentially, this just means you want to validate the need for your offer, as well as the messaging that you are using to market your offer. This is also going to help you gain confidence in both selling and what you do as a digital entrepreneur.

You will also be able to obtain testimonials and social proof from your beta testers, which you will need in order to sell your full offer to the public.

Depending on the type of offer you have, you can get paid. I help my students do this every single day. So, yes, you can get paid right off the bat as a brand new entrepreneur.

If you want an idea of digital products or services you could sell that are categorized in different niches, check out my newest free resource called 100 Offers. This is your free list of 100 different digital product and service ideas you can sell online to make your first (or your next) $1,000 online.

As a recap, the things you’re going to want to gain clarity on are your calling, who you serve, the problem you solve, and the offer you’re selling.

If you can’t already tell, clarifying is an extremely important step to making your online business a reality.

Step #2: Verify

In order to verify, you must first and foremost optimize your social media profiles.

How can you optimize your profiles to make sure your ideal client follows you when they stumble upon you and your brand?

This goes back to clarification.

You have to know who you’re serving and the problem that you’re solving for them.

Once you figure that out, you can then optimize your social media profiles so that they know that you can help them. After you optimize your social media profiles, I recommend posting validation content.

Before you launch anything, it is important that you validate your offer and your marketing because you have to make sure your offer is wanted and needed in the space.

You want the way you’re speaking about your offer to hit home for your ideal client. You are validating the need for your offer and also validating the messaging of your offer.

The amazing thing about validation content is that it’s super simple, effective, very efficient, and it can actually lead to sales.

I have had several clients at this point completely book out their offer and also sell a multitude of their digital products by using the validation content strategy I have in place for that (by the way, I do teach you how to do this in my newest offer the Faith-Fueled Business Blueprint.)

The really cool thing about the validation strategy is that we haven’t even gotten into the content strategy yet, and they’re able to book out their offers and sell their digital products from this piece alone. It is so good that they continue to use it again and again and again.

With this validation content, you will then be able to have effective and productive conversations with your ideal clients. These conversations will naturally lead to sales calls or sales, and even if they don’t, these conversations will prove to be incredibly valuable market research for you.

Once you get people on your waitlist, you can schedule and conduct potential beta client calls for validation content, or you can enroll someone as your first beta tester and your offer and your messaging are officially validated and verified.

One thing I really want you to remember in every single step is to consistently pray for your ideal clients and your future clients and customers.

I always pray right before a sales conversation. I’m not praying, “God, can you please just let this ideal client become a client?”

I will typically pray a prayer that goes something along the lines of, “Father, if this business partnership is not ordained by you, please close the door, and if it is, please provide discernment in both of our spirits today.”

I’m not just asking for money anymore. I know God’s got me there. I know that He’s the ultimate provider. He is my provider and what I do during those prayer sessions is simply ask for discernment because I feel like both parties need that going into an investment opportunity.

Step #3: Solidify

The very first piece of solidify is to continue posting validation content. You want to keep doing this until your offer and marketing are validated and verified.

Once you have people reaching out to you, your marketing is hitting home.

Content can be utilized again and again. It doesn’t have to be utilized just when you are getting validation on an offer or messaging. You can use this consistently.

That said, once you’re solidifying your beta testers, you have officially solidified what it is that you do.

When you continuously have clients or customers enrolling, your marketing and your offer have all been validated and verified. When this happens and you have officially secured your first clients or customers from your validation content, you are then going to want to develop a content strategy that attracts your ideal clients to you.

You want your ideal clients to binge your content like a Netflix show.

I have had someone find my Instagram and then join a program that is a 4-figure investment. Within 48 hours and no sales call, she found my Instagram account, binged my content, reached out, and then became a client. After signing up, she said, “I want to learn how to do just that. I want to be able to take people from cold to sold.”

This is not the first time that this has happened. People will either find my podcast or my Instagram, and then they will randomly join my membership or enroll in Faith-Fueled Coach Academy.

That said, solidifying is all about continuously making sales on repeat and scaling your business more and more.
