March 15, 2022

Y’all, this episode is FIRE. Holy Spirit took over in the recording process and it was AMAZING. This episode is all about how to actually stand in your industry as a Christian entrepreneur, so if you are struggling to bring in consistent leads or sales online, then this is for you. Because I KNOW you don’t want to be another cookie cutter coach, network marketer, or just another business woman.

I KNOW you are really looking to stand out in your industry. & not just for your business, but so you can spread the light of Jesus to the world in a whole new level. But I know you might be having a hard time doing that, which is WHY I’m spilling 5 tips to stand out in your industry online. Let’s do this.

Y’all, I loved recording this episode. The Holy Spirit took over in the creation process and it was amazing. So if you are someone who is struggling to bring in consistent leads or sales online, then this is for you, sister.

I’ve got 5 points to share with you today that have truly made all the difference in my own business and in my clients’ businesses. I know you will see a difference in your own business if you follow these steps, and especially if you join us inside of Faith-Fueled Coach Academy

Because girlfriend, I know you don’t want to be another cookie cutter coach or network marketer, or just another business woman. I know you are really looking to stand out in your industry–and not just for your business.

I know you want to stand out so you can spread the light of Jesus to the world on a whole new level. But I know you might be having a hard time doing that, which is why I’m spilling my top 5 tips to stand out in your industry online.

5 tips to stand out in your industry online

1. Seek Jesus First

Please seek Him above all things. There is nothing wrong with taking disciplined and faithful action towards a calling the Lord has put on your heart, but when your eyes are only focused on the physical as opposed to the spiritual, you not only will wind up getting burnt out, but it can easily become an idol. So please, always seek Him first.

This is number 1 because it’s your foundation. If you do not have a faith-fueled foundation, you will wind up having a flesh-fueled foundation. It’s so important to remember this and also for you to know that you are a daughter of the King. God created you for a purpose and a mission. Why do you keep holding yourself back? It’s not about you; it’s about His mission. Taking your eyes off of yourself and putting them onto Him is literally one of the most important things you can do.

One practical way you can seek Him first is to spend quality time with Jesus. The Holy Spirit will ignite your actions. This is hands down the most “productive” thing you can do. A question to ask yourself is how can you best shine His light?

2. Become Known for Solving One Problem First

You’ve probably heard about niching and finding your ideal client. I’m not going to talk too much about that right now, but what is really important for you to know is the number 1 problem you’re solving for your clients. Not a whole bunch of problems, but one core problem. Can you tell me this, and can you do it concisely without word vomiting everywhere?

I know this is easier said than done. I’ve been there. I get it, I really do. But the thing is, if you cannot name the one core problem you solve, how do you expect your potential clients to know? There are so many people in the online space trying to sell stuff, let’s just be real. If we’re going to stand out and stop getting overlooked, you must know the problem and be able to communicate the problem in a concise way. If people come to your Instagram profile and they can’t figure out what you do and the problem you help them solve in the first 5 seconds, they’re moving on.

Now while I’m on this topic, I want to address some vague verbiage as well. For example, when I’m browsing around Instagram, I will stumble upon profiles that say things like, “I help moms live their best life,” or “I help women gain confidence.” Those are wonderful things, and I’m not trying to say they’re not. But y’all, what does this mean? Living their best life and gaining confidence looks different for everyone. You have to get more specific.

What kind of life are these moms picturing? Map it out. Get to the root problem. Because girlfriend, you cannot figure out the core problem from these kinds of statements. Please figure out the core problem you solve. This is important moving forward.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you can’t talk about other things. Actually, I talk a lot about this in episode 3 of the show. So if you’re struggling with this, head over there. Another episode that would be good for you is episode 5. Definitely check those out after this one.

3. Determine Your Secret Sauce/Super Power/Unique Selling Point

What’s your secret sauce? What makes you different from every other coach in your niche? Trust me, you have one. Figure out what that is and embrace it. You must know who your ideal client is for this and you must know the problem you solve. But what is your unique selling point? It’s essentially the one thing that makes your business better than the competition. It’s a specific benefit that makes your business stand out when compared to other businesses in your market.

I know I do business differently than most coaches out there, but I also know that’s why my clients sign with me, stay with me, and see transformative results. I have had multiple clients at this point tell me that they love working with me specifically because there’s not another Christian business coach out there doing it the way I do. I don’t just focus on business. Don’t get me wrong, the main problem I’m solving for my clients is to help them create a full time faith-fueled business. But instead of just focusing on business, I help them focus on the spiritual side – getting in tune with the Holy Spirit, navigating self-sabotage and spiritual warfare, and creating a sustainable business that will avoid burnout.

In addition to this, my 1:1 mentorship packages are very unique in the sense that I follow a different business model than most other coaches I’ve seen in this space. Not only has it been beneficial on the sales side because my potential clients love the way I have laid out my business model, but they also see results a lot faster and they wind up replicating it in their own business because they love it that much. Speaking of a different business model, that leads me to step number 4.

4. Utilize a High Quality Business Model

I’m speaking directly to the coaches and service providers here, not necessarily the network marketers or product based businesses. This is important because with most coaching models, coaches wind up getting really burnt out and limited on time. It becomes difficult to serve deeply and support their clients at the next level because they need 15 1:1 clients that they meet with every week, or you’ve got really low-ticket monthly packages that you hope your clients will continue to purchase every month, or 50 group coaching clients, or a combination of both to make 6 figures.

From my experience, this setup was a recipe for burnout and it does not have to be this way. Not only do you have your clients to take care of, but you’ve got to prepare for your clients and support them in messages. You’ve got your marketing and content creation, admin and lead generation, and product and offer development (actually going and creating the things you’re selling). So if you’re on 15 hour-long 1:1 calls every week plus Voxer support and client prep work for those calls, that can become very draining.

Now, I am personally just naturally lower in energy. I always have been. So this was very difficult for me. What I have done and what I would recommend instead is to utilize a high quality business model that is scalable, sustainable, and flexible. You do not have to be tied down to weekly calls to deliver high quality results and create a full-time income in your business. You just don’t. I’ve done it.

I teach the model that I use to my clients inside Faith-Fueled Coach Academy, and I help them personalize it for their own business. I would suggest that if you’re feeling like you’re in this position right now, to really sit down and ask yourself: what do my clients actually need? How can I support them in the best way possible? How can I serve them deeper?

I’ll tell you right now that in my 3 month and 6 month 1:1 containers, I started utilizing what I call queen immersion days. These immersions are essentially a 5-7 hour long Zoom session at the beginning of our coaching containers where we dive into everything in their business: clarity, ideal client, content, marketing, lead generation, mindset blocks, etc. What this has done is it has eliminated the need for weekly calls because we cover everything right away and they’re not waiting week by week. This is a big reason my clients see success right out of the gate. Then I have 1:1 support calls for them after that in addition to implementation support via Voxer.

Now what’s really amazing is that I truly believe no matter what niche you’re in, you can utilize this model. It is seriously so incredible. I’ve had multiple different clients in different niches utilize this: branding, marketing, health, fitness, nutrition, life coaches, clarity coaches, productivity coaches, you name it. I’m going to bet your bottom dollar you can utilize this immersion day model as well. What I love seeing is that my clients will re-name their immersion days to be more on brand for them. I call mine queen immersion days, but I’ve had clients call them elevation days and battle days. I love that! Again, it just makes you more memorable, and it makes your program and the experience you’re offering so more unique and exciting than your competitors’.

5. Stop Following All the Trends and Focus on Your Thing

You do not have to be on every single platform to be successful. You do not have to do Instagram reels simply because it’s trendy or popular. Do I recommend you try them? Sure! You never know what you’re going to love, or what’s going to stick for you until you try it. But don’t get so distracted by shiny objects that you take your eyes off your main strategy/goal/focus. Try one focus, one strategy, one offer, one platform. I created a 6 figure business on Instagram. You don’t have to be in all the places at once.

Since I’m mentioning Instagram reels, I think it’s important to mention that while using trending sounds is great and all, it doesn’t have to be the only way to utilize reels, and I would recommend that it’s not the only way you utilize them. I will probably record another podcast episode in the future specifically on Instagram reels, but for the sake of this topic being that you want to stand out in your industry, I’m going to suggest that instead of just using trends on reels, you actually use your voice. Why?

The reason for this is because everyone is focused on trends. When you break the trend, when you break the pattern that people are constantly seeing online, people are going to stop. In addition to this, when you use your voice and you project confidence, you are automatically positioning yourself as an authority in the space. Most people are too afraid to use their voice, so you will stand out among the crowd.

Let me give you an example. Let’s think about the health industry. Which health coach do you think you would rather work with: someone who is posting trending reels all the time not using their voice? Or someone going against the grain by using their voice, sharing their knowledge and their experience, and showcasing their personality in reels because they’re actually using their voice? They may still post trends (I’m not saying not to; I think they’re great and can be really funny and entertaining), but this person is also speaking and showcasing authority. Who do you think you would rather work with?

If you want to stand out, break the pattern. Showcase your authority, use your voice, and focus on your thing. Maybe your thing isn’t reels at all. Maybe it isn’t Instagram at all. That’s okay. Maybe it’s podcasting, or YouTube, or Facebook, or LinkedIn. Where do you actually enjoy putting your focus and energy? How do you enjoy showing up on that platform? Make the decision and then go all in.
